Your Portland Wedding Guide

Hi, my name is Dani and I love weddings. Cliché, I understand, but it’s definitely true! I could give you the whole bubbly story about how I used to dream about my wedding since I saw Father of the Bride and how the world of cakes, table settings, tents, gourmet menus, and wedding coordinators was masterfully revealed to me—but wait, I won’t. Even so, that image stayed with me throughout high school, sports, college, and world travels. And in August of 2006, I planned the most amazing wedding I could in 4 months and married my wonderful husband. It was then and there I realized, “Hey, I’m pretty good at this!” I had the time of my life that day I got married, loved planning and coordinating the entire event, and when it was all over I didn’t want to stop. So I went for it and started coordinating weddings for friends, and after 2 years I was giving the opportunity to start my own business: Weddings Fresh.

It has been such a joy to be a part of people’s lives through their weddings, and while raising two wonderful boys, this is my life! So here I am, excited to be a contributor to the weddings section here on Portland.com, but even more excited to be available to you. I will post articles and share wedding trends, never without lots of wedding fashion (it’s a passion), talk about Portland and our beautiful brides and fantastic vendors. Also, feel free to contact me about anything and everything weddings--questions, comments, concerns, pictures, new things you have discovered and want to share—really anything! So get to it and stay in touch, because I’ve got tons to talk about and the best part is it’s my job :-)
