September Wedding Vendor Spotlight: Soul Mates Photo

Wedding pictures are arguably the most important element to your wedding, save a fabulous wedding gown of course!  No matter the money spent, the details prepared, dreams fulfilled or guests invited, your wedding photographer has your memories in his or her hands.  We all say we will remember everything, especially since blood, sweat, tears, money, arms, legs and sanities all were sacrificed for a couple of hours of bliss, but the truth is, you won’t and pictures will be the only remnant telling the story.

Keep all this in mind when you are planning your budget and you have the inclination to go cheap on a photographer—they are worth their weight in gold and you will be so thankful on your tenth anniversary when you can look back and remember the exact emotions you and your husband exuded when you celebrated your new life together.

Melissa of Soul Mates Photography is a photographer who can help you realize your dreams for a fabulous picture book of your wedding day.  She has such great words to describe not only herself but her vision for her work:

I know what a good pair of shoes can do for a woman’s confidence and sense of self. I believe a photograph should do the same thing.

It’s true. A portrait or photograph should make you feel like a thousand bucks- at least that’s my goal every time I pick up the camera. A photograph can easily make someone’s day, week or year and it can just as easily bring you back to a particular moment in life. I know I have the ability to make a person– man or woman– feel wonderful, feel confident, feel beautiful. I also have the ability to make time freeze. That’s why Soul Mates Photo was created; to be involved with people and their lives.

A little about me.
I’m passionate. I’m full of energy. I love to love, I love to travel, and I love being happy. I am a very loyal friend and I enjoy spending time with people– with or without my camera. I crave life’s little moments as well as the big ones. I’m very adaptable, sometimes too much so. Give me camping and I’m happy, give me a five star hotel and I’m happy. I live in Portland, Oregon with my husband, Josh, and puppy, Persay. I’m a blessed, happy woman who really gets a kick out of the unexpected.
